I love Max and Ruby, way before they were on TV. "Bunny Cakes" is one of my favorites. Rosemary Wells uses such simplistic words and phrases yet they are eloquently written.
Ruby's making Grandma a birthday cake and Max decides to make one, too...from dirt and worms. But his cake is missing something: Red Hot Marshmallow Squirters.

Cute book - Ruby Wells - Idaho
My son loves this book. He loves Max and Ruby on tv so I started buying him all of the rosemary wells books and they're a big hit. I highly recommend it.

We love Max and Ruby books. This one is particularly aimed toward teaching a few sight words to young children. My son loves to be able to read the words to me when Ruby write a grocery list for Max!

this is one of those books that my 2yo insists on me reading to her over and over and over... well, you get the picture! she loves the whole max and ruby series (and am i outing myself as a horrible parent if i admit we saw the series on noggin first?).

The true test of a childrens' book is how often it is chosen to be read. I've read this one almost every night for more than a month. She even carries it around with her in her wagon during the day. AND, I don't mind reading it over and over.
